our Story

Hey I’m Tierney! I’m a self-taught baker and mom of 2 boys. Outliers Baked Goods was born and in my home kitchen in Kansas, but is now based out of a commissary kitchen in Kansas City, MO. After being inspired by the adventurous nature of Christina Tosi’s Milk Bar Cookies, I began experimenting with cookie recipes and tweaking them to be something that I would want to keep eating and eating :). Outliers cookies are not too sweet, they are for someone who craves that balance of salty, sweet and acidic even in their dessert. Outlier cookies are playful, unique and very crave worthy.

I pride myself in using locally sourced and all natural ingredients. We are happy users of “Marion Milling” flour which is Stone milled and uses high quality wheat sourced from Local farms. All of our ingredients are Non-GMO. Being just a 3 year Kansan (former and very proud New Yorker ;)), I am really excited to become a part of this ever evolving food community here in Kansas and the Kansas City, MO area.

As for the weirdough part of it, I didn’t know it at the time but when I was in intermediate school I was deciding my fate. I was founder and president of “the weirdo club”. lol. Shout out to my weirdo club members from long ago.
